Maybe...no...definitely our most brilliant Halloween moment yet.
The mummy.
Credit to Ken for the brilliant idea.
Credit to me for the brilliant execution.
She's at that stage where she's walking very unsteadily and always has her arms out in front of her to keep her balance. Ken came home from work and saw her and said you should make her a mummy for Halloween. Why didn't I think of that? Perfect.
Julius decided he wanted to be a ghost this year.
So we did classic Halloween.
I bought some old sweatpants and a sweatshirt, cut a white sheet in strips and used fabric glue.
Easy.
I also bought a $2 white beanie and glued strips on it for her hat.
The more she fell down and got dirty and the more the sheet started shredded and hanging off her...the better she looked.
I just couldn't get enough of it.
So cute and so perfect.
This guy on the other hand didn't want to cooperate. This was the first year he's decided on his own costume. Months ago he started saying he wanted to be a ghost.
Easy enough.
I just cut eyes holes out of the sheet but he didn't like that. He didn't want his face covered.
Okay.
So I cut a face hole and decided we would just paint his face white and his eyes a little black to make him look more ghostly. The second he caught a glimpse of the face paint in the mirror he had a complete meltdown.
"IT'S TOO SCARY!"
There was no changing his mind. He would not leave the house until we washed it all off.
He still looks cute though not very ghostly from the front.
Haha..oh well.
Next year Ken and I will dress up. I just keep running out of time.
He looks pretty ghostly from the back though.
Lora and Don
My friend Amanda...who won best costume.
She looked great.
