Carolina Beach

His first time in sand. I was notorious for eating loads of sand when I was his age. And I believe I've passed that on to Julius. Couldn't leave him alone for a second!

Our little sea turtle...heading straight for the water.

I just think he's the cutest.

Daniel

Ken hadn't been to North Carolina at all since we've been married. I was glad we were able to squeeze a short beach trip in while we were there...it was the highlight!

Stuff I miss about NC

The Beach. Need I say more?

Cheerwine. If your gonna have a soda...it's a really good one.

Trees. So many trees.

North Carolina BBQ! Ken wasn't a big fan...but he did like the fresh pork rinds...weird.

Kudzu. No reason. It just reminds me of the south.

Rain. Downpours. I love it. We just don't get storms like that in Utah.

Cookout. Burgers, onion rings, milkshakes, and the best hushpuppies ever.

Isn't Uncle Ken fun?

Cute little Seth really warmed up to Ken.

Quick trip to Boise

While my sister was still in town we decided to make a trip to Boise to visit our Grandpa.
It was fantastic...we love getting to spend some time with him. To make it even better our Aunt Candace drove down from Washington to see us too!

Julius with Great-Grandpa Anderson

On the drive back to Utah we drove off the road a bit into Twin Falls where there is this huge gorge.

We also drove past the new Twin Falls temple...looking very Idaho-ish in the middle of the fields.

Some pretty Idaho scenery.
