Cruise

Ken sold security systems for Apex last summer and qualified for their company cruise in February. Neither of us had been on a cruise so we were pretty excited. I had a great time despite the fact that I was still feeling pregnancy sickness.

Boarding

Formal Dinner

No one told us it would be ridiculously windy on the top decks of the boat. It was hard to walk around sometimes and it made miniature golf almost impossible. But I still won.

The upper deck. Pools...hot tubs.

Inside the boat.

Theater

Inside the boat.

Our room

Sports court on the upper deck. Ken played in Apex's basketball and dodgeball tournaments here for a few nights of the cruise.

Rock climbing wall

Our first port of call...Jamaica.

One of the most popular things to do here was visit a pretty amazing waterfall. It empties right into the ocean and you can start at the bottom and hike up the waterfall.

Jamaica

Ken and a friend decided to hike the waterfall.

Ken hiked the whole thing barefoot.

Our boat

Second port of call...Grand Caymen. We took a small boat to a place called "Stingray City". After a 30 minute ride out in the ocean you reach a sandbar. The water gets about waist to chest deep and is so clear. It was beautiful...then you see the HUGE stingrays. It was very cool but a little unnerving.

That's a stingray and we were standing around in the water with tons of these things swimming around us.

All of the tour guides would just grab them out of the water and toss them around so everyone could take pictures. Apparently so many people have been coming here for so long that they are pretty tame and just want to be fed. But I always worry about the one new stingray to the group that doesn't know how things work. After a few pictures I kept my distance.

I've never been a big fan of snorkeling. One gulp of salt water in my snorkel and I'm done. I don't care that much about fish. But Ken had never done it so we tried for a while. I think I saw one fish. Mostly it was just nice to swim around in that water for a while.

7 mile Beach, Grand Caymen

In Grand Caymen it was too shallow for our ship to dock near land. So we had to load on these smaller boats that took us to land and back to the ship.

These desserts look fancy but they were pretty disappointing.

Our friend Noah randomly happened to be on our cruise.

When we got back to Florida we got to spend most of a day in Fort Lauderdale...which we loved. It was rainy when we got there but cleared up enough for us to play at the beach.

It all looks so pretty! There is just too much to comment on with these - I'm gonna have to call you to talk about it. I love the picture of you and ken in the water with the stingrays!
