Black History Month

BYU has a children's fair for Black History Month. It was great...Julius had a blast. It's in the ballroom of the Wilkinson Center and they have lots of booths set up with games and different activities.

He didn't want them to touch his face but then he saw lots of other kids running around with cool faces and decided it would be ok.

We ran into Aunt Emily who was a volunteer.

Just throwing bean bags at famous black leaders.

He played the drums while these three cute girls who were volunteering sang to him.

His favorite activity was the "underground railroad".
They had a path set up and they had to cross the water...

and climb over the hills...

and through the tunnel...
to freedom!
He went through about 10 times.

More Family Visits

Ken's brother Rodney came to town to visit for a few days with Phyllicia and their cute little guy Desmond. He was born 6 days after Naomi!

They had Desmond's blessing while they were in town.

Naomi's Blessing Day

11 weeks

Grandma Kathy (my mom) got her this pretty blessing dress and the shoes.
I just love it.
I made her the hair bow.

Blurry...but the only one of all of us.

Her blessing blanket was a blanket my sister Jenny brought me from Bethlehem, when she spent a semester at the BYU Jerusalem Center.
( I went a few years later.)

And she's done taking pictures.
