Julius The Photographer

I was in my room taking some pictures of Naomi when Julius came in.
He wanted the camera so I passed it over so he could play photographer.
I thought there would just be pictures of the floor and maybe a close up of my nose.
But when I scrolled through the pictures there were actually some really good ones.
The camera was on a tripod but other than that these are all his work!

BYU

It occurred to me as I was scrolling through our blog one day that Julius is wearing a BYU shirt in about 90% of the pictures. Then a friend who had been looking at our blog said something to me about it and I had to laugh.
The thing is...Julius does actually have non-BYU apparel. In fact, that would include most of his clothes. He just insists on wearing his BYU shirts 90% of the time.
And I'm ok with that.

And of course we had to get little Naomi in on the BYU love.
Don't be fooled by her face, she's lovin the outfit.

Speaking of BYU...
just watched the BYU/San Diego State basketball game.
Go Cougars.
Love Jimmer.
It's fun to watch basketball with Julius.
Every time someone makes a basket he says "Nice!"

Just talked to my sister Jenny. We were talking BYU basketball...cuz we do that...
She told me they decided that since their littlest guy Paul doesn't have a nickname yet, they were just gonna call him Jimmer this month.
Awesome.

The only time Julius has gotten really jealous...like super upset jealous...was when I tried to put this BYU shirt on Naomi for the first time. {Julius has one just like it}
He was just beside himself, crying, screaming, the whole bit.
He kept saying "My BYU...My BYU!"
I had to take it off her before he tried to.

Snow

It's a little hard these days to get outside in the snow with Julius as much as he would like.
My sister Amanda gave me the great idea to bring the snow inside to him!
We even made little snowmen.

Funny Boy

Julius was flying his helicopter around the room on a dangerous secret mission.
Didn't hear him for a while so I came to check on him.
Apparently the helicopter crash landed with all of them.

Bampa

My dad was in town for some business meetings.
{He's bringing a Chinese choir to perform at BYU next September.}
So he finally got to meet Naomi and hang out with one of his biggest fans...Julius!

Dad's business partner, Tang Cai.

The day dad was arriving, Julius didn't want to go down for his nap...but what's new?
Anyway, I told him when he woke up from his nap he would get to play with Grandpa!
He woke up yelling "Bampa! Bampa!"

2 Months Old

This picture cracks me up.
Sumo wrestler?
At her 2 months check up Dr. Savage came in and her first reaction was
"Wow! She sure is eating well!"
So true.
She's not huge by any means...just getting a little rolly.
So cute.
We just call her "Cheeks" these days.

Weight: 12 lbs 2 oz 80%
Length: 23.5 inches 85 %
Head: 40 cm 75 %

At 2 months Naomi is:

Eating well...obviously

Sleeping well...surprisingly
{5 or 6 hour stretch at night then another 2 or 3!!!}
{Julius didn't do anything close to that until he was about 8 months old}

Smiling

Cooing

Julius is still super sweet with her.
He calls her "Omi".

Martin Luther King Day

Every year we go up to BYU for the Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration.
Always a nice program.

It also always reminds me of when Ken and I were dating. The first time we went out we went to this commemoration and Ken's entire family was there. That was the first time I met them.

Disneyland Part 1

Yay for Disneyland!
So fun...neither Ken or I had ever been.
It was a great time to go...absolutely no lines. We walked right up to every ride...and it was still 80 degrees and beautiful.

We got there when it opened, played, then headed home at 2 when Julius, Breanne and Sophie were all getting tired. The kids slept for a few hours then we went back and stayed till midnight. We also met up with Tiffany, Noah and their kids for the evening.

Julius hasn't had much exposure to anything Disney so he didn't recognize any of the characters or stories. But he followed Breanne and Sophie, who have been many times, and did what they did.
Here they are with Mickey Mouse or "Now Nouse" as Julius calls him.

We went into California Adventure first...

A Bug's Life ride...SLOWEST ride EVER! Clearly it's for kids and not me...but it was REALLY slow...I think Julius was even a little bored.

A little faster...Julius held on to me tight!

Leaving California Adventure and heading into Disneyland.

Catching the end of a Parade.

Jungle Cruise

After we rode Pirates of the Caribbean

Lunch time

It was really hard to get a picture of all three of these cuties from the front.

Kirra & Noah

The Carousel

It's A Small World

Naomi on It's A Small World

Julius really liked this one...lots to look at.

Heading home for nap time.

Two very tired kids.
