Three Generations

Julius was upset we were taking pictures without him, so I said he could be in a picture too.
For some reason that upset him even more???

My Favorite Pictures So Far

I think this is my most favorite.

Naomi is such a sweet baby...Julius was sweet too but a lot more...um...agitated at this age. He was only sleeping for an hour at a time and crying a lot in between...had to be held. I was already completely exhausted. So far this little girl sleeps great on her own. She likes to be held but she'll happily lay there in her bassinet too. Her only issue is a little day/night confusion. Her most awake time is still between 11 pm and 3 am. She'll sleep but it's not as deep as the rest of the day so when you lay her down she wakes up pretty quickly and wants to be held. So I'm still pretty exhausted after having been used to uninterrupted sleep for the last year but overall it's not too bad.
{And I think it will be great once we can shift her awake time to sometime during the day!}
{Also having my mom here has been a HUGE help...she pretty much takes care of/entertains Julius all day. Fun for him and helpful for me. I'm gonna have to re-adjust when she leaves. Too bad she has to go.}

Sleeping baby...I love it.

Big Brother & Little Sister

After feeling a little displaced while we were in the hospital Julius is doing great with everything. He calls Naomi "baby".
Naomi is still a mouthful for him.
He likes to look at her and will give her a kiss every now and then.
When he finds things that are hers he brings them to me.
He's really gentle and hasn't been too rough with her {yet!}
He tells her goodnight.
And the last few mornings when he wakes up the first thing he says is "see baby".
What a sweet boy!

More Pics...

Thanksgiving project with Grandma

4 days old

Naomi's billirubin test (jaundice) was too high so they brought in the baby tanning bed for her to use. We've had to keep her on lights for about three days so far and she's had have blood drawn about 5 times. Julius was on lights in the hospital but not at home and probably had his blood drawn at least that many times too.

There's also a little light you can put in a blanket .
{She looks a lot like Julius did at this age in this picture...I think it's the profile.}

Day Three

I think this is the perfect time of year to have a new baby. It just started getting really cold and actually snowed today! All you want to do is stay inside where it's warm and cozy. {These are the flowers Ken gave me & you can see snowy Provo in the background}

Julius & Fergus looking at the snow.

Checking out dad.

Yah! My mom is here for a week and a half! It's already been a huge help...definitely nice to have some helping hands around while we try and figure out how to take care of two kids.

Julius brought some gifts for baby sister.

He made sure that she got all of them...blanket, stuffed animal and pacifiers.

We also had a gift for Julius {another BYU shirt of course...but old school...wish I could find one for me too}

Pink roses from Ken.

Time to go home
