Pregnancy Update

{37 weeks}

I'm due in about 3 weeks...I can't believe it.
I'm still trying to check things off my list.
I'm still trying to spend lots of time with my Julius...
before his world is turned upside down for a bit.
I'm still trying to get lots of sleep before I don't get any.
I'm still trying to remember exactly what to do with a newborn...it's been a while.
And I haven't packed a hospital bag yet.
I should probably do that tonight.

Trunk or Treating and Trick or Treating

We decided that for Julius' Halloween costume this year there was really only one option...BYU football player. He's kind of obsessed and actually really good. He only wants to wear his BYU shirts every day...if he sees anything BYU or "Y" he calls it football...and at least once a day he asks me to turn football on TV.

{Maybe not the year to be screaming "BYU football" but Julius and I are no fairweather fans...we're hanging in there with the cougars.}

{He's really cute in the helmet too...but I couldn't get him to leave it on for a picture}

Getting suited up in his pads and uniform for the ward trunk or treat.

He liked this character...I don't even know who it is...but he followed her around all night.

Halloween Night

We had some crazy Halloween weather. Early, early evening there were torrential downpours...then it cleared...then it snowed...then it cleared again and we headed out the door to do a little trick or treating.

37 weeks pregnant

Stop #1 was this fantastic house down the street from us...our friend Gordon did a great job and even dressed up as Dracula. Julius was scared but hung in there long enough to get his candy. Ever since he's been telling me about it.

In his words:
"Walk, house, scary, dandy"

Interpretation:
I walked to the scary house and got candy.

Someone please tell this kid that paci's aren't for football players.

Cousin Jada was a cheerleader...we didn't even know!

Pre-Halloween

I got Julius' Halloween costume {can you tell what it is?} and he has worn parts of it every day this week. I think he likes it.

We woke up to a little snow one morning.

Watching football, wearing football, holding football.
I think he likes football.

Isn't fall pretty?

Halloween's Past

I found this picture a few months ago...I laugh every time I see it because it's so awesome!

My roomie and me as Axl and Slash from Guns N' Roses. Our other roommate was our groupie. I'm Axl, the blonde, in the middle. I always feel like I just can't top this costume...

Halloween 2006
{Ken and I were dating}

Ken as Mr. T

I've only heard rumors of the year Ken dressed up as 50 cent...
I hear it was awesome...but Ken doesn't take pictures.
So if anyone out there has a picture of that...send it my way.

Last Night With Dad

The last night dad was in town Ken had to go camping with the young men in the ward...so we decided the three of us would have a night out on the town...which equals going out to eat and quickly getting home so Julius can go to bed!

We went to a fairly new restaurant in Provo called Rooster...pot stickers, noodles etc...Yum!

Aunt Marianne

Before dad had to leave town we went up to South Jordan to visit with Aunt Marianne. We also helped her plant some flowers that Uncle Clair had ordered...well...dad planted flowers, Julius played in the water and dirt, and I mostly watched. It was a nice visit with Marianne.

A Day On The Farm...Tooele

We made a visit out to Tooele to see Aunt Neva and Uncle Jack, which is always so nice.

Neva and Dad going through some family photos.

Jack, Ken and Julius

Julius fed himself and the horses carrots from the garden.

Uncle Jack let Julius pick out a pumpkin to take home!

Aunt Neva and Uncle Jack loaded up bags for us full of onions, peppers, carrots, and squash from the garden.

Julius LOVED throwing dirt.

I had to include this...cuz...if you hadn't noticed...I'm pregnant.
{35 weeks}

Julius kept eyeing Uncle Jack's four wheeler...

Then daddy took him for a ride.

Apple picking and playing on the haystacks.

I have lots of good memories visiting Tooele when we were kids...it still looks the same.

One favorite memory is when my sister Jenny jumped off the hay and over the fence but the fence caught her jeans right in the pocket and tore the back of her pants off...haha!

Neva, Me, Dad, Jack

Some of the yummy food that came home with us.
I love fall and I love visiting my family...such a great day.

Halloween Is In The Air

So this random black cat showed up in the month of October...seriously.

Our homemade Halloween decor.

Spooky huh?

Halloween treats with Mom

Nothing to do with Halloween...but I was making broccoli cheddar soup for dinner and Julius preferred to make his own very salty version...

minus the broccoli.
