BYU

We always take a few trips up to campus when mom's here. I don't go up to campus much on a regular basis so it's fun to go when someone's here visiting.

We stopped to give Julius lunch on the lawn near the art museum.

We toured the new Hinckley building...which is beautiful.

Grandma, Julius and the cougar

Ok. I love BYU. I really do. Thanks to my mom we all bleed blue. Ken likes BYU but he's not such a fanatic...but he humored us and came along for the day.

Ken and I are going to encourage our kids to pursue whatever they are interested in but there is one thing I'm gonna push...BYU!

Everyone looking cool in their shades.

He likes them better in his mouth than on his face.

Grandma Kathy's Visit

Julius just loved Grandma's visit...He got to eat corn on the cob.

After lots of fun bath time he got pampered...lotion...massage.

One of the highlights was going to the new Oquirrah Mountain Temple open house.

We stopped at Ikea and dad threw Julius in the stuffed animal bins. He thought it was really cool.

Grandma brought him his own little pool.

I got so many big projects done while my mom was here. It was fantastic! I cleaned my garage and cleaned all the carpets in my house. I couldn't have done it without my moms help.
Thanks mom!
Julius was fascinated with the carpet cleaner and wasn't happy until I strapped him on my back so he could see everything.

Julius loves the dishwasher but I rarely let him near it. This is why he loves Grandma...she let him play with it as much as he wanted. So fun!

He also helped Grandma do laundry.

Chubby Bunny Anyone?

I was cleaning the kitchen and threw a bag of slightly stale marshmallows in the top of the trash can....turned away for a bit...and then found this. He LOVED them and was really sad when I finally took them all away.

Father's Day

Here is Julius making a Father's Day present. It's really hard to keep him still but luckily I had help from my mom who was in town visiting. We still had green paint everywhere.

Ken wore it proudly even though I picked out one of his old shirts that was too small!

Mama and the Monster

So we've called Julius "The Monster" ever since he was a few weeks old. It might have started because of lots of loud screaming that came from that tiny little mouth but now we mean it very affectionately.

Happy 30th!

No matter how hard I tried to be ok with it...I have to say that 30 is a weird birthday. Really? I'm 30? We planned a really low key day. Ken left work early and we went to lunch, a little shopping, then we went out for sushi with family and a few friends.

Surprise! So when we got home from dinner there was an actual surprise party at my house...I think almost every good friend I still have left in Provo was there. I was REALLY surprised. But mostly I just kept thinking "Ken planned a surprise party? What?" I was really confused...I mean Ken's amazing but he is definitely not the organize a big surprise party and make sure there are actually people and cake there type. But then I found out one of my best friends had a hand in it too ( a big hand) Thanks Tiffany! And thanks Ken!

All the cute little kids that were at the party.

Really? I'm 30?

Cousins

It's really too bad we don't live near any of Julius' cousins on my side of the family...but I'm so glad we are so close to Ken's family! Jada is so cute with Julius. She always says "Come on Julius!" You can tell she really wants him to follow her so they can play. And she loves to give him hugs and kisses...which he is totally used to thanks to mom.
